COUNSEL'S HOUSE The Commandant's House is the most recent historical building on the island, and until recently it was not included in the monuments of architecture and ensemble of New Holland. Earlier, the family of the commandant of the island really lived here, and in the Soviet period the offices of naval departments were located. In 2013 the building received the status of a monument and was restored in accordance with the requirements of the Committee for State Control, Use and Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments. He had a cast-iron canopy, an openwork fire escape and a modern interior. In the spring of 2017 the school of creative industries "Mayak" opened here. Now the Komendant House meets all the necessary requirements for the work of a modern school.
